Opening V3 Flipcharts in ActivInspire (Mac)

Thanks to all of you who attended another successful Promethean Camp! I hope you learned new things to improve your lessons or to save you time in creating new ones.

If you've started using Inspire here are some tips to help you open your previous flipcharts (with .flp ending) in Inspire. Promethean usually offers more than one way to accomplish something so there may be other ways that I haven't learned yet.

1) Open Inspire and open a .flp from the dashboard.
2) Open Inspire and open a .flp from the File menu.
3) Control click on a .flp file, Open With (Inspire).
4) Control click on .flp file, Get Info, Open with (Inspire), Change All.
5) Change or have your tech change your default program to Inspire. I don't know
how to do that but I do know it's an option.

If you intend to use Inspire all or most of the time then Option #4 or #5 will save you a little bit of time and if you're like me you won't open in V3 when you meant to open in Inspire.

One last thing in case you didn't know. Older flipcharts or flipcharts made before Inspire was released end in .flp and flipcharts made in Inspire end in .flipchart. You will be able to open any .flp files in Inspire but you will not be able to open .flipchart files in any version of software before Inspire.

I LOVE the new Inspire software!
